The power went out at work today. It is amazing how much we rely on the new technology we use. Someone asked me what I was going to do, so I pulled a tablet of paper and a pen out of the drawer and said, "I'm going back to version 1.0".

Well... Power is back, but the network and Internet are not available, and most of my work is done on remote servers. We have thoughts of going to lunch at 10:30, but that doesn't seem right either.

Today was busy.  We have about 1200 people in India who want to use our website to perform a large survey.  That means getting them all signed up and authorized.  Good thing they know English.  They must.  It is cheaper for us to have employees over there, than it is to hire call center personnel in the states.  Bandwidth is now cheaper than American manpower.

Just took the dogs on a rabbit chase.  Not a walk, but a rabbit chase.  There are about five rabbits nesting up at the Vaughn Manor and they have no fear of dogs, not mine anyway.  They stand at the edge of the leash and taunt them.

Simple walk, and I broke a sweat.  It is true.  Pets can keep you younger!

I am home tonight watching the Nebraska - Pen State game and doing laundry.  How exciting!  It has been a very good ball game.  It is a very close game, and I will make not predictions as to the outcome.  Way better than last year!

This is my first entry using a "weblog" program that I am writing.  I wanted to find a way to keep the content of my website fresher.  I liked what I saw on weblog pages like m-blog.com and such, but wanted to edit my writing here, then post it.  I could not find a program that I liked, so I am writing one in Visual Basic.  I hope you like the new format.  I modeled it after many of the blogspaces that you see on the web nowdays.
